春天快乐!
两个月前和几位主讲人讨论这期活动主题时,心里其实还对“早春诗会”这个明媚的题目有些犹豫——担心伦敦天气的阴晴不定,春意未必如期而至。但最近英国一连串的好天气,总算让人安心了许多,也让这个名字显得恰如其分。
这期沙龙的缘起,要追溯到我与斯磨画廊(Small Gallery)联合创始人杨槃槃的一个偶然约定。大概是两三年前,槃槃刚从美国搬来伦敦,在伦敦大学亚非学院(SOAS)开始担任助理教授。在我们第一次见面时,她跟我聊起斯磨画廊的构想——那时还是一个初生的念头。
转眼之间,从一个小小的想法,到获得英国艺术与人文研究理事会(AHRC)项目资助,如今的斯磨画廊已如当年槃槃所描绘的模样,在北伦敦真正落地生根,并在一场场展览的滋养中悠然成长。作为一直在旁默默关注的看客,也感到无比欣喜。
为什么是诗会呢?这期沙龙的形式的确在这些年里变过数次,而在这漫长的等待之中,我们生活的世界始终以各种令人意想不到的方式维持着它的动荡。当槃槃提议以诗会的形式来开启这一期活动时,我想,若我们尚能在某个春日午后安静地读诗、谈诗、感受诗,那生活,大概也还不算太糟。
愿春日常驻,也期待能在阳光灿烂的日子里与你们再度相聚。

Happy Spring!
When discussing the theme of this event with a few speakers two months ago, I was actually a bit hesitant about the bright title of “Early Spring Poetry Gathering” — worried about London’s unpredictable weather and whether the spring vibe would arrive as expected. But with the recent streak of good weather in the UK, I finally feel more at ease, and the title now seems just right.
The origin of this salon can be traced back to a casual agreement I made with Panpan Yang, the co-founder of Small Gallery. It was about two or three years ago when Panpan had just moved to London from the United States and started working as an assistant professor at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. During our first meeting, she talked to me about the concept of Small Gallery — back then, it was still a budding idea.
In the blink of an eye, that small idea has grown from its humble beginnings to receiving funding from the UK’s Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). Today, Small Gallery has taken root in North London, just as Panpan once envisioned, and continues to thrive through a series of exhibitions. As someone who has been quietly observing from the sidelines, I feel incredibly happy.
Why a poetry gathering? The format of this salon has indeed changed several times over the years, and throughout this long wait, the world around us has remained turbulent in many unexpected ways. When Panpan suggested hosting this event as a poetry gathering, I thought that if we could still spend a quiet spring afternoon reading, discussing, and feeling poetry, then life might not be so bad after all.

本次沙龙携手伦敦北部实验艺术空间斯磨画廊(Small Gallery),邀请韩梦云、钱倩、黄安澜和杨槃槃四位诗人共赴早春之约。更多活跃在视觉艺术领域的她们,却因种种不同的因缘,悄然聚于诗神的羽翼之下。短暂共享“伦敦”地标的她们,以诗行书写如候鸟般迁徙的生命体验。
本次诗歌朗读交流活动亦为斯磨画廊当前双个展“黄安澜& 俞笛悠:木与夜孰长” 若有若无的闭幕式。黄安澜的影像诗《Her Love is a Bleeding Tank》让眼睛化为剧场,重播女孩过去的一生。而俞笛悠则是一位始终沉默的诗人。她的艺术书《Collecting Dust》有着仿若尘埃轻覆的纸页,翻动之际,诗行在手指间缓慢涌出。活动当日,韩梦云的诗集《月的礼赞》(In Praise of the Moon) 也将陈列在展览现场。
This salon, in collaboration with Small Gallery, an experimental art space in North London, invites four poets — Han Mengyun, Qian Qian, Huang Anlan, and Yang Panpan — to join in this early spring gathering. Although they are more actively involved in the field of visual arts, they have quietly converged under the wing of poetry due to various circumstances. Sharing the transient landmark of “London,” they use poetry to express their migratory life experiences, much like birds in flight.
This poetry reading and exchange event also serves as a subtle closing ceremony for Small Gallery’s current dual exhibition, “Huang Anlan & Yu Diyou: Which Is Longer, Wood or Night.” Huang Anlan’s video poem “Her Love is a Bleeding Tank” transforms the eyes into a theater, replaying a girl’s past life. On the other hand, Yu Diyou is a poet who remains persistently silent. Her artist book “Collecting Dust” features pages as light as a layer of dust, where poems emerge slowly between the fingertips as one turns the pages. On the day of the event, Han Mengyun’s poetry collection “In Praise of the Moon” will also be displayed at the exhibition site.

韩梦云
1989年生于中国武汉,成长于中国深圳,是一位从事多媒介创作的跨学科艺术家、比较文学研究者、影像创作者、诗人和母亲,现居伦敦。她在巴德学院获得艺术创作学士学位 (BA in Studio Art),并在京都大学等多所机构学习梵语,随后在牛津大学获得艺术硕士学位 (MFA),硕士研究方向集中于古典印度学及印度美学理论。韩梦云的创作实践以隐喻的方式分化为“昼”与“夜”两种形态,探索着从欧亚地区跨文化杂融,到作为女性和母亲的个人体验等等广阔丰富的主题。
钱倩
1990年出生于江西赣州,硕士毕业于伦敦大学金史密斯学院,现工作居住于伦敦。钱倩在人造技术领域和更广阔的自然世界中探索人类的灵性和超越。她通过绘画和互动装置建立叙事和美学框架,将神话和科学这两个看似截然不同的领域结合在一起,触及量子意识、互联性、同一性、超人类主义和文化混杂性等话题,试图弥合对古代信仰体系与现代科学的理解。
黄安澜
艺术家,写作者,在都市间候鸟般迁徙。她的复调叙事交织着过去与未来、虚构与现实、崇高与荒诞、纯真与暴力,结合影像、装置、表演等各种媒介,将个体的生命经验注入宏大叙事或批判理论的缝隙中,以此转译时常共生的爱与伤害。
杨槃槃
伦敦大学亚非学院艺术史与考古系讲师(助理教授),伦敦北部斯磨画廊的联合创始人。她的诗歌创作游走于古体与现代之间,近年来尤为关注作为当代艺术实践的诗歌书写。在斯磨画廊这一独特的艺术空间里,窗户、浴缸、厕所卷纸、烘干机和灯泡都成为诗歌和文字碎片的栖身之地。她与俞笛悠合作的艺术书《手卷》于2024年夏于香港大馆当代美术馆展出,并被伦敦大学亚非学院图书馆特藏收藏。
Han Mengyun
Born in 1989 in Wuhan, China, and raised in Shenzhen, China, Han Mengyun is a multidisciplinary artist, comparative literature researcher, filmmaker, poet, and mother currently based in London. She holds a BA in Studio Art from Bard College and has studied Sanskrit at various institutions, including Kyoto University, before earning an MFA from the University of Oxford, where she focused on classical Indian studies and Indian aesthetic theory. Han Mengyun’s artistic practice is metaphorically divided into two forms: “Day” and “Night,” exploring diverse themes ranging from cross-cultural hybridity in the Eurasian region to personal experiences as a woman and mother.
Qian Qian
Born in 1990 in Ganzhou, Jiangxi, Qian Qian holds a master’s degree from Goldsmiths, University of London, and currently lives and works in London. She explores human spirituality and transcendence within the realm of artificial technology and the broader natural world. Through painting and interactive installations, she creates narrative and aesthetic frameworks that bridge the seemingly disparate fields of mythology and science. Her works delve into topics like quantum consciousness, interconnectedness, identity, transhumanism, and cultural hybridity, aiming to reconcile understandings of ancient belief systems and modern science.
Huang Anlan
An artist and writer, Huang Anlan migrates between cities like a migratory bird. Her polyphonic narratives intertwine past and future, fiction and reality, the sublime and the absurd, innocence and violence. Integrating mediums such as video, installation, and performance, she infuses personal life experiences into the gaps of grand narratives or critical theories, thereby translating the often coexisting themes of love and harm.
Yang Panpan
A lecturer (assistant professor) in the Department of History of Art and Archaeology at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and co-founder of Small Gallery in North London. Her poetry moves between classical and modern forms, with a recent focus on poetic writing as a contemporary art practice. In the unique art space of Small Gallery, windows, bathtubs, toilet paper rolls, dryers, and light bulbs all become sites for poetic and textual fragments. Her collaborative artist book “Handscroll”, created with Yu Diyou, was exhibited at Tai Kwun Contemporary in Hong Kong in the summer of 2024 and is part of the special collections at the SOAS Library, University of London.
