关于我们

London Culture Salon (Charity No. 1185461) was founded in 2016 by design researcher Dr Leren Li at the Royal College of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Previously known as ‘千高原文化沙龙 (Qiangaoyuan Culture Salon)’, it was inspired by Deleuze and Guattari’s A Thousand Plateaus (Qiangaoyuan), highlighting ‘diversity’ and ‘creativity’.

The salon is supported by interdisciplinary professionals to share expert knowledge with the general public. We believe the world is composed of plateaus, any culture, any history, any kind of self-identity, any lifestyle, and any worldview serves as a unique part of it.

Talks were previously hosted in the cosy living room at Leren’s flat in Earls Court. With the growing popularity, our events occasionally moved out of the personal space. They took place at art and educational institutions, including Bloomsbury Gallery, Lychee Gallery, The School of Oriental and African Studies and The Royal College of Art.
